Act II si Entuziasmul Agasant

Am scris despre Kentucky Route Zero cu o pasiune ieșită din comun, chiar și pentru mine -- cred că entuziasmul meu pueril, aproape agasant, este binecunoscut oriunde îmi las o amprentă iscălită. Când ceva îmi place mult, mă aprind ca o lampă de sudură și ard zgomotos, aruncând cu generozitate concluzii pompoase în stânga și în dreapta.

 Mă bucur că nu am fost nevoit să scriu niciodată despre Bioshock Infinite. Eu mi-aș fi bazat toată recenzia pe acel "Hallelujah!" din prolog. Așa sunt eu, ușor de impresionat. Din fericire, în activitatea publicistică personală, această sensibilitate crescută la detalii subtile a funcționat -- presupun -- în favoarea mea. Așa se face că m-am îndrăgostit de rubrica INDIE, locul ce îmi stârnește întotdeauna o zburdălnicie creativă și sufletească plină de căldură. Pe deasupra, spiritul original, tipic revistei LEVEL, și atitudinea degajată a redactorilor, care activează sau au activat de-a lungul timpului acolo, au fost mană cerească pentru mine; combustie spontană; simbioză; fuziune; extrudare scrisă.

 Am început cu KRZ și am ajuns la entuziasmul meu obnoxious. Habar nu am dacă era necesară poliloghia de mai sus, însă următorul artwork -- scos la lumină de Cardboard Computer acum nu foarte multa vreme intr-un private newsletter --, îmi mărește frecvența vibrației interioare:

De ce tocmai KRZ? Ei bine, nu multe jocuri adventure știu să facă o diferență clară între puzzle și mister. KRZ nu are nevoie de un gameplay complex sau puzzle-uri mâncătoare de neuroni, căci aventura se naște din misterul unei luni captive între copaci geometrici sau din cel al avionului împins în tăcere pe autostrada întunecată. Cât despre valoarea pur artistic-culturală, îmi permit să o rezum în citatul lui Guillaume de Fondaumiere, co-CEO la Quantic Dream:

"To me, all games are a form of cultural expression (...)"

La care aș adăuga:

A universal culture, free of any social or political boundaries.

Aștept cu nerăbdare Actul II, a cărui lansare este planificată peste câteva săptămâni. Noapte bună.

Am fost binecuvantati cu o duminica superba, asa ca este datoria mea sfanta, de filantrop si iubitor de oameni plictisiti, sa va recomand o plimbare cu rolele si o inghetata mai rece decat zambetul lui Marion Cobretti. Pentru ca se poate si trebuie.

Am incercat sa imi petrec un sfarsit de saptamana departe de internet si gaming. Evident, am esuat lamentabil -- stiu, stiu, sunt un om lipsit de caracter. Dar am de gand sa imi spal pacatele, asa ca voi trezi Bumbushka (care inca doarme la 3.00 pm), in vederea unei plimbari prin "paradisul sibian". Pana atunci, Sellorekt!

I've always wanted something like this on my work desk. 

It's actually a very small soda bottle. A piece of paper, some red & white string and a touch of nail polish  were enough to make it look like a potion. The real version feels a lot more fantasy.

It rocked like thunder and rolled like lightning

Burning rubber and gulping petrol

The roaring pulse of pistons

Besides, stupidy should not be accepted as a valid excuse when it comes to imposing social stigma on another person. Having the cognitive skills of Opie from Family Guy and worshiping the gods of Anti-intellectualism is not a Get Out Of Jail Free card for hate speeches. It just makes you behave like the asshole you really are.
